The honest read
Readwise Reader is arguably the best read-it-later app ever built. It ingests feeds, newsletters, PDFs, and web articles; its highlighting and the spaced-repetition review system behind it are unmatched for retention. If your bottleneck is getting more out of what you already read, Reader is the better tool — full stop.
Readster starts from the opposite assumption: you won't open the app. There is no queue to save things into, because the queue is the problem. Every morning, everything from your feeds, newsletters, and SEC filings is deduplicated, ranked against your watchlist, and delivered as one cited brief that ends with "that's everything today." You read the brief, click through to the two pieces that matter, and you're done.
For investment research specifically, Reader has no notion of a watchlist, no SEC EDGAR monitoring, and no cross-source clustering — the same story arrives as five separate saves.
