An honest comparison
Readster vs AlphaSense for individual investors
One is an enterprise research platform with a real content moat. The other is a $20/month tool built on the sources you already have. This page is honest about which is which.

The honest read
Let's be clear about what AlphaSense is: a professional-grade research platform with licensed broker research, earnings-call transcripts, expert-call libraries, and enterprise search across all of it. Readster does not replicate any of that content, and this page won't pretend otherwise. If your firm provides AlphaSense, use it.
The catch is the door you enter through. AlphaSense is sold to institutions — reported five-figure per-seat annual pricing, sales calls, procurement. For an individual portfolio manager, an independent analyst, or a small fund, that door is effectively closed.
Readster is the individual's slice of the workflow. It ingests the sources you already have access to — your feeds, your newsletter subscriptions, SEC EDGAR — deduplicates them, and delivers one cited daily brief ranked against your watchlist, with filings flagged within the hour. No licensed content library; instead, a pipeline over your own reading, self-serve, cancel in two clicks.
When AlphaSense is the better choice
If someone else is paying, AlphaSense wins on content: broker research and transcript search have no substitute at Readster's price, and we don't claim one. Readster is the right choice when the buyer is you — when you want the daily synthesis and filing alerts of an institutional workflow without the institution.
